Out of the town 是Some Nights專輯中我很喜歡的一首歌，雖然不知道為什麼它是bonus track (贈送曲目，也是本來有可能不收進專輯的意思)，fun. 巡迴演上也幾乎沒唱過，仍然是非常catchy又很有畫面的一首歌。
 
歌詞很直白，是分手多時後男生來到女生窗前，悔恨過去犯的錯、懇求她再回到他身邊的故事。

這不免讓人聯想到Nate Ruess和Sam Means的拆夥，兩人從小學就是好友、然後到The Format (2001-2008) 一起組團、出專輯、巡迴演唱。The Format當時已經累積的不少歌迷，長達十數年的好友說拆夥就拆夥，許多歌迷到現在還不能釋懷。
拆夥的原因當然從來沒有人說清楚，不過Nate在很多訪問都說他接到電話通知The Format已經是歷史了。看似他是被動拆夥的那一方，不過Nate在The Format拆夥後毫不猶豫新組了fun.，而Sam則是持續單飛自己發專輯也做了些電影配樂，把兩人的關係和Out On the Town的歌詞搭配起來，其中不免讓玩味。
 
網路上很多人討論Nate的性向以及Nate和Sam是否根本就是情侶分手。也許是因為Nate 和Jack 非常喜歡穿緊身牛仔褲 XD。不過Nate一直都有女友，而我也不覺得一向支持LGBTQ 的fun.團員們有啥要躲藏的，所以還是讓流言止於流言吧。
