Glee的完整表演 (只有兩分多鐘) (恩....不知道是這次的編舞很怪?還是跳來跳去很無腦? 總之這翻唱讓我無言以對....)
Yeah, so this happened .... 最新一集的Glee S4E07 Dynamic Duets中翻唱了fun. 的Some Nights....
Some Nights這首歌是fun.的第二首告示牌排行榜前十名單曲(前一首是冠軍單曲We Are Young)，在進榜20多週後爬升到第三名，至今日為止Some Nights已經在告示牌百大金曲榜上停留39周，本周由上週的第四名下滑一名至第五。
我始終沒有翻譯Some Nights 的歌詞，一則網路上我找到的翻譯已經很棒！..... 二則這首歌詞真的蠻難(而我很懶)。如果不是對fun.的背景或其他歌曲有些了解，即便是英文歌詞討論網站上也有很多各種不同的爭議想法。
Some Nights這首歌是敘述fun.經歷十餘年走唱生涯、終於成名後，對爆紅後名聲、錢財及種種怪現象擁來，懷疑起自己多年努力做音樂到底堅持的是什麼。如同多數fun.的歌，這首歌講的是自我掙扎、自我懷疑，但最後告訴自己：無論如何我要為自己的信仰 (belief) 努力的深夜中的自我對話。
翻唱fun.的歌曲有一定的難度，何況是Some Nights這樣一首十分fun.的歌曲: 戲劇張力十足、加上Marching band (或非洲鼓舞樂)的編曲元素、和Nate Ruess瘋狂的嗓音。
先前聽說Glee要翻唱，我以為Wabler要做acapella(人聲無伴奏)還開心了一下。youtube上其實已經可以找到很多acapella的翻唱版本，不過總是專業不足、或感覺搔不到癢處。沒想到Glee的版本還是讓身為fun.忠實歌迷的我有些不蘇胡。
好吧，不翻譯好像不能說清我對這首歌的想法。
fun. Some Nights live (我不太喜歡some nights的MV, 而偏好現場演唱、有觀眾時候的版本，這種時候最能感受到這首歌的張力!)

(在我的解釋中，最後這一段講的是過去的自己。過去自己相信的是什麼?現在相信的又是什麼? 過去很多理想，但誰想堅持自己卻沒人欣賞、沒有聽眾呢?所以為了掌聲要放棄一些自我.... 在夢中看見過去有理想有堅持的自己，但最好我們保持距離免得彼此傷心啊....)
在某個訪問中(一時找不到連結了)，Nate跟Jack聊起Some Nights變成暢銷單曲的感想，兩人說到:We are young 旋律好記畢竟比較有暢銷曲的特質，但Some Nights沒有副歌耶! Some Nights單曲一發行在澳洲就衝到第一名，Nate Ruess高興地跑到飯店頂樓大叫: Some Nights沒有副歌! (哈哈)
另外，看見外甥的那一段歌詞一直有些爭議是some terrible lies 還是some terrible nights ? (兩種解法好像都通) Glee唱了lies，不過前幾天fun.在FB跟Twitter上默默地說: "nights not lies". (但據我觀察Nate Ruess很多版本，他兩種都唱過.....)

最近才突然聽到Fun.的這首Some Nights 深深地被Nate Ruess的嗓音吸引 >< 真的很棒很有張力!!!! Glee的翻唱感覺少了一種....power(?) 最後謝謝版主的翻譯!! 看了歌詞之後對歌更有感覺了:)))

這真是我看過最難的歌詞. 字都看懂了, 還是沒辦法一次體會 這段分享一下我的解釋 most amazing things -- nephew's (the baby's) eyes comes from some terrible nights (that his sister made love with con). But also imply their success now comes from those terrible nights in ten years.

我認為是星星喔。Nate Ruess的很多歌詞都有星星 (例如Star這首歌)，星星是他表示寄託於神、宗教的意思，他某任前女友相當虔誠，而他自己則是無神論者，所以才說對他來說星星就只是星星而已。 還是謝謝你的分享！我想，每個人都可以有自己不同的解釋! 這就是奧妙之處囉 :)

版主好厲害，你的翻譯雖然不是完全照字面翻，但真的翻出fun.的想法。 如果沒看到你的翻譯，還真的不曉得歌詞含義! 不愧是鐵粉。感受到好濃厚的愛啊。 另外我承認我是看GLEE才知道這首歌。 但是在沒聽過fun.的情況下，不覺得glee很差啦。 (對不起我是glee的愚粉>"<) 純粹是為了讚揚版主的翻譯忍不住留言。
